What makes me laugh the most:   My dad! He is the funniest person I know.  My husband comes in a close second

Favorite thing about being a Physician Assistant:   I love helping and serving the community.  I also love being challenged in the workplace and continually building my professional and clinical skills.


Ellen Boynton, MMS, PA-C

Family Medicine Physician Assistant

Ellen Boynton is a board certified Physician Assistant with more than 5 years of experience in various medical specialties, including internal medicine, cardiology, and primary care. Ellen attended the University of Iowa where she graduated with honors in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Integrative Physiology. Subsequently, Ellen attended Saint Louis University, where she graduated with a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in December 2010. After completion of graduate school, Ellen worked as a hospitalist PA before transitioning to inpatient cardiology, followed by primary care. Ellen moved to Southern California in September of 2015, after living most of her life in the Midwest. In her spare time, Ellen enjoys traveling, running, hiking, and spending quality time with her husband and dog.  She also enjoys volunteering with military families at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton during her spare time.
